Title: Underfloor heating mat Post by thescruff on Aug 23rd, 2015, 6:19pm Want to put a rayoflex mat under the snooker tables, would it be ok to plug it into a ringmain. Thinking of 450w but could reduce it if I had too. It will be thermostic controlled set at 10-15c ish Edit, could use 2 x 3 x 0.5m mats at 225w each. The plan is to build a shelf approx 400mm from the slate and lay the mats on ply and insulation board |
Title: Re: Underfloor heating mat Post by The_Trician on Aug 23rd, 2015, 10:42pm Plugging in shouldn't be a problem so long as you don't go mad adding loads of them! Work it on 4.35A to the KW, and if you divide that by 4 you get just over 1A per mat if rated at 225W or so. |

You could Scotspark ;) The room is very humid so I want to put a small heat into the slate to speed it up. How much is very critical as too much will dry the slate and it could degrade, looking at an air temperature 12-15c then tweek it to get a bed that doesn't feel cold to touch so about 12-15c. |
