Title: Fencing Height Question? Post by jazzyman on Feb 25th, 2016, 12:15am My daughter is having a few issues with her neighbour and is now considering putting a fence between the side of two properties. Her neighbour's property is around a metre higher than my daughter's property (because the two properties are on a hill). The maximum height of fencing I believe is 2 metres before planning permission is required, is the 2 metre from my daughter's ground level or the adjoining neighbours ground level? Picture may help to explain things.. |

Title: Re: Fencing Height Question? Post by woodsmith on Feb 25th, 2016, 5:15pm The maximum fence height is normally 2m which is measured from your own land, not the neighbours. However your local Planning office may allow you to erect a taller fence if you have a good reason for doing so and your neighbour did not object. I would give then a call and ask, it shouldn't hurt. |
