Title: Re-tile to ridge after installing a Velux? Post by LJD1974 on Feb 10th, 2019, 3:32pm I've recently installed (for the first time) a Velux window close to the ridge of my loft, but now need to add one close to the lower end of the roof. Knowing how it's done, I'm guessing I need to remove all tiles above the new opening, right up to the ridge, in order to re-tile from the window upwards? Can't think of a another way to fix the few removed tiles above the new window without doing so?? I have 300x600 synthetic slate tiles, fixed around half way up each. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks Lee |

It's a common problem when you just need to replace one slate and there should be no need to remove too many slates. |

When you buy a roof window you need to also buy a flashing kit specifically designed for the type of roofing slate/ tile etc, these come with more or less everything you need to fit the window. |
