Title: Security Light Problem Post by rgirling on May 3rd, 2021, 7:46pm Any idea what's causing a weird problem with my neighbour's soar-powered security light? It seems to be on 24 hours. During the day it seems to be on full brightness, then as the light goes, the light becomes dimmer and dimmer. At night, it's still on, but just like a glow-worm. You may be able to see from the picture it's not tight! Ray [gallery]rgirling/1620067507.jpg[/gallery] |
Title: Re: Security Light Problem Post by thescruff on May 4th, 2021, 10:02am I could pretty much take an educated guess. The blind is shading the light sensor. The blind is then swinging about to activate the movement sensor. Therefore the light is on all day and the inbuilt solar battery is discharged |
Title: Re: Security Light Problem Post by CWatters on May 30th, 2021, 2:27pm +1 Many PIR have a light sensor that works out when it is day/night and they turn off the PIR in the day time. If its set incorrectly, dirty or in shadow the sensor thinks its night time all the time. So the light comes on in the daytime. |
