I would like to change the default font on my computer from Times New Roman to Arial Unicode.
At the moment, I have to change it manually every time I use it.
How do I do it please?

The word processor in Microsoft Works, and Microsoft Word. It's always on Times New Roman, if you want a different font, you have to click one on the drop down menu.
I just want it to come up with arial automatically.

To do this open Word.
Click on Format.
Click on Font.
Chose the font you want and then click on Default (bottom l/h corner).
It will ask you 'are you sure' or something like that, click YES.
You now have a new default font which will load every time you open Word.

It turns out that Arial Unicode is intended for use when you open a document that is formatted with a different language, and you do not have the specific language fonts installed.
I've changed it to Arial now, ( it's actually the same font.)

Arial unicode MS does actually look slightly different from normal arial for english text though you'd probablly only notice it in a side by side comparison.
essentially arial unicode ms covers almost all of an early version of unicode and so will make the vast majority of foriegn text readable but its very very hard to make a font that covers all scripts and does it well.........
