BT Versatitlity & Virgin
Aug 4th, 2016, 2:14pm

I run a small business and we've just moved into a new office.
We have Virgin Business Broadband providing Broadband & telephone. We have 2 employees and after consulting a local phone engineer he sold us a BT Versatility system with 2 phones.
However once we opened we realised that we only have one line, although we can transfer calls from one phone to another only one of us can use the phone at a time.
Engineer says we need another Virgin phone line.
Virgin engineer came out today and says BT Versatility won't work with Virgin Broadband because they have a separate phone line for each cable.
Who is right and how do I get the BT Versatility working with 2 lines ?
Thanks
Peter

You just need a second PSTN line.  Ideally, an auxiliary line, so it has the same number as your first.  unfortunately you cannot have an auxiliary line if either line has broadband on it.  Most people would have a third line for the broadband, and use that line for PDQ/FAX too.
