Posts: 3074 Total Thanks: 10 For This Post: 0 scotland Scotland Gender: Trade: Electrician	cable lengths Nov 8^th, 2004, 11:14pm I have got to price a job for an intercom system and some of the cable runs will need to be over 150 metres long. do you get bt cable on longer than 100 metre drums and will there be any problems with signal? I reckon it should be ok but thot i would ask cheers guys

Is this a door entry system, or possibly a PBX?? A PBX wouldn't have a constraight on length.

They may give you a guide to larger cores. We fitted a video intercom, and had to use 1.5mm cores for the supply due to the length of the runs.
