Fascia scaffolding?
Feb 27th, 2005, 5:21pm

I need to replace the fascia/soffet and guttering on my house this year, whilst on my travels i have seen a lot of 'facsia' replacement gangs using what looks like an alloy scaffold/tower that 'leans' into the house with a good length platform to work from.

1)Does the above make sense?  ???

2)If it does what is it actually called, and can you hire it?

3)I know nobody likes on line pricing Angry, but could anyone give a rough guesstimate for a scaffold,s.e london, easy parking, easy access, approx 15m long and 1 lift high to reach facsia height.

Tnanks in advance. Smiley

I know of Easi-Dec

btw, you will need two scaffold lifts to reach the fascia on a normal height house  Smiley

hi trowelhead
you are right about online pricing Undecided
the average house is 5m wide, you said you are looking for something about 15m long ??? you either live in bloody big house  Shocked or there is at least 2 returns making three 5m runs.also if you look in jerry ds picture you will see a garage ,porch ect, all these have tobe taken into  your price  Sad
we do a lot of work in se london so as a rough price (sharp intake of breath) about £500-600.
you possably could get a local guy to be cheeper but check them out first ? like most trades there are plenty of COWBOYS out there Shocked
hope this helps

Thats the one JerryD,thanks for that.Do you know anywhere that hires them out?
2 lifts understood,my first of 2 mistakes! Embarrassed
Cupid has noticed my second mistake,as usual ,overestestimating. My house is sideways on to the road but nevertheless its about 11m long not 15m as written. Grin  and has no obstructions like porches etc.
Think i'll call a firm to get a basic quote.
Thanks for your help chaps.
