Pan connector

Hi guys taking out a low level cistern and pan.

The soil pipe in the floor is clay, can you get a pan connector or adaptor to fit inside the clay pipe and allow a std pan connector to be fitted??

Thanks in advance

I think you'll find all the Multiquick type pan connectors push into the clay size pipes.  These pan connectors have a finned rubber gasket which seals into the pipe.

Hi Jerry, thats the type i use generally.

On the last job though i couldn't get it to fit with the rubber in place.

Seemed to be too big a difference in size!!

I've never had that problem, I thought clay pipes were 4" (or thereabouts) internally  Undecided

How about trimming the rubber finned gasket?

I assume the clay pipe is vertical?  How about removing the rubber gasket and silicone sealing the Multiquick into the DRY clay pipe?

Thats what i had to do in the end mate. Wasn't overly happy doing it but needs must.  Undecided

Plus it was tiled in which will help secure it. Cool

Clay is slightly smaller, see the multikwik range.
