shower pumps

This my first foray into internet discussions so forgive me if  my technique is not up to standard.

I'm planning to refurbish the bathroom which involves fitting a dedicated shower cubicle. Will a £140 b&q pump be sufficient for one shower fed from a gravity system or should I spend more (on the maxim that you get what you pay for)?

Also do I really need to instal a Surry,Suffolk,Yorkshire,Cornwall flange because with my existing shower I have no problems with air in the tank. But then, being an oap, the gas oiler is never set higher than 2 on a scale of 1 to 6.

You get what you pay for, Stuart Turner being the best in my opinion.

Go for something around 2bar.

As for the connection, an Essex flange, is the best and as far as I'm concerned, do the job properly and by the book and you will enjoy the results. Skim and take short cuts (bodge) and pay the price.

This is perhaps one job thats worth doing right, to avoid air and the related problems.
