Not really possible to price without seeing the job, and depends on the job as well.

Are there builders involved, is the job part of a re-furbishment, and not an in and out job, who does the builders work and making good, tiling etc.

A job like this could be spread over sev eral months with other work going on.

5 days if the job is ready with no hold ups or agro, alterations etc would be tight, but obviously the guy has seen the job and reckons he can do it in that.

Day rate for the average small plumber, would be around the £250 mark, plus materials and VAT, but you could double that depending on the area, parking etc

I will say it's not always best for you to supply the materials, most plumbers use the profit from supplying the materials to guarantee the job, in this case if you supply and you get faulty materials, then it would be chargable, and that includes returning and waiting time if the day is lost.

Forget top quality, there's no such thing anymore  

Even the best will come out of shape, damaged, not matching colours, etc you name it.

That also applies to taps, wastes and fittings.

Are you looking at concealed fittings, chrome wastes, the list is endless.

Tiling, will this be done after carcass or will he have to remove the sanitaryware and re-fit afterwards.

As I said earlier a good plumber, for a quality job would be looking for £250 ish a day plus materials, parking etc. in London you could double that, unless you find an east European and take your chances.

Remember on this type of job, is very rare you can go in and finish without waiting for other trades, the tiler being the main man to get the finish spot on.
