Shower Tray smaller than old one
Sep 25th, 2006, 12:39pm

Hi

We are replacting a stone shower tray which was old and knackered

The new one we want is smaller...how would you guys recommend we fill the space on the side for it? We aim to tile the whole shower area anyway

Depends how much smaller, but you could stud it out and ply the inside for tiling.

Better to stud it out and use aquapanel, Wedi Board, Hardibacker etc. building regs don't advise ply in wet areas.
