Hi Guys
What is generaly done to seal off radiator pipes?
We are removing a radiator from our front room, and thus the two pipe ends I am assuming need to be sealed off in some manner?......what and how is this done?

depends if radiator is going to be replaced
if not gain access into cut back the pipes under floor level, cap off with either solder or compression blank end. this will probably neccesitate draining down the system or corking the system if open. or if you have quick fingers and a deft hand snatch the pipe by cutting with a wheely cutter and getting a push fit blank end over cut pipe QUICKLY however this method is not the best option

thanks runningwata!
the system has been drained al ready...but i just had a thought...we have another in the back room (radioator) is the piping generally running in series?...so from one radiator to the other etc?...so If i was to seal these two ends....then the rear radioator wouldnt work ?...or is that not how radiators work?

Rads should be in parallel, not in series. Otherwise turning one off turns all off.

Capping the tails to a rad will not stop the rest of the system working (unless it's been installed incorrectly).
See below, whether one pipe or two pipe system. it makes no difference.
Just make sure it's the rad tails you cap and not the flow/return pipes!
