Hello Chaps, haven't been in here for ages.
Anyways I have a problem. Heating wasn't working after the summer recess, could get HW but this to eventually died. Boiler fired up, pipes got hot as far as pump, boiler then cutout = me thinks must be blockage as had had problem before.
So I decided to do a proper job and powerflush the system, install new rads and generally update the system.
System works a treat now - tooooo fekking hot according to the misses however, I have a couple of issues which I hope you can help me resolve.
Firstly, the boiler is as noisy as buggery clanks, cracks, bangs and all the other words to describe a noisy boiler.
Secondly, water is peeing out the header overflow and the cold feed to the system is very hot.
My thought is that there may well still be air in the system. I did cut out and replace a section of pipe that contained two Tees and an elbow in close proximity which linked the expansion pipe, feed pipe to the boiler.
I've thought about putting automatic air valves in but thought I run it past the experts first.
Thanks awfully for your help.
Cheers Col
