We deviate Carl. The Fein is a plunge cutter, quite unique in that respect.

This means that, for example, if you wanted to cut a piece of ply such that a dry liner back box fitted very snugly through this cut out then sure enough the Fein will do it VERY precisely - as well as cutting away the lath and lath as well Wink

Believe me, you will once you get one!

Got me out of more holes than any other tool I own. Best was when I was laying some Clip'n'clik (more like clip'n'curse') flooring in a 3rd floor flat. Started at the windows and moved gradually back to the door. Only when I got to the door, I couldn't open it to get out as I'd forgotten to trim it first. Would only open just enough to slip my arm through. groping around to see what tools I could find to get me out of my predicament, I grabbed the Fein. Trimmed the bottom off the door in situ and made my escape.

Would all Third Party Apologists kindly mind their own business .....

lol the most popular power tools in my toolbox being the usual; DW standard 18v drill, DW SDS+ drill 24v, Fein Master, ...

I would guess the DW standard DW is used the most closely, very closely, followed by the Fein.

The Fein is like a dishwasher once you have one you wonder how the Hell you managed without one. In fact I can do joibs that would have been impossible without a Fein best investment I have ever made, literally.
