Back boiler ventilation
Aug 15th, 2009, 9:19pm

Hi, i need to install a 5" core vent for a back boiler located in the living room,  i understand that the vent ought to placed as high as possible but it would have to be placed very low if it were in the living room outer wall so i want to put the vent into the outer wall of the adjacent room and then put a 5" hole into the wall dividing the two rooms..  will that be acceptable and is there any recommendation or requirement regarding the position of the inner wall vent?
Thanks

Just curious but...  Presumably this is an old back boiler or are there condensing back boilers now?

Hi, thanks gastec for the clear and lucid reply, it is much appreciated.
It is indeed an old back boiler, recently classed as at risk.. I have already bought a Stadium black hole 5" core vent i was just unsure about the best placement but if low level is ok then i shall follow your suggestion, thank's again.
