I have a fused spur in my cupboard powering a socket(which is impossible too get too) which powers my washing machine, I actually have an extension cord in there so that i can power a tumble dryer also.
The problem is that the fuse has went on the extension lead an now I want too change the fused spur too a socket so that it is easier to access.
The back of the socket has 2 live and 2 neutral cables beside each other (red + blue which i know is the wrong combination of colours) with the 2 earth cables beside them....straight forward too switch them into a single socket plate?? yes i'd think so but the problem i have is that at the bottom of the fused spur there is a single blue core going into a terminal marked N.
Can i just disconnect it and put it into a piece of connector block and continue as planned on the changeover???
Any help is appreciated, hopefully its straightforward and im worrying for nothing!!

thanks
