I,ve been quoted £400-£950 by 4 different companies to Powerflush my 9 Rad system???
WTF?? why so costly..OK its a days work...sort of...Surely this is a major Rip Off???
(I work as PC repair)....It can take sometimes 10hrs+ to remove virus,s etc from machine by scanning....but I couldn't charge the same price
Any comments, suggestions...Thanx

£400.00 is a realistic price from an independent, £950.00 is a BG price and yes as you say a rip off.

Having just gone through the hassle of using one myself, that is one option for you to consider...ie hire one. Why do you think you need one?

and when you're done remember to put corrosion inhibitor in to help stop sludge building up. Few boiler care/service plans include checking the corrosion inhibitor concentration. I can't help feel you've just found out why.

Has had New diverter Valve...New Pump..New thermister fitted without joy
Can I do it with hosepipe from CW or do I need to hire specialist gear??

If the system is so heavily blocked that the boiler is shutting down then putting cleaner in is unlikely to work. It needs to be circulated around the system to work.

Sounds more like the plate HX is blocked, assuming it's a combi.
