Plastic pipe for CH and H and C water (Read 2452 times)

sdlegg GDPR opt-out	Plastic pipe for CH and H and C water Dec 2^nd, 2010, 7:41am I am looking to bury plastic pipes for the CH and hot and cold water supplies into solid brick walls. Do I need to cover the pipes i.e. trucking, due to pipe expansion/contraction causing plaster to crack? What sort or depth should I bury them? Is there anything I should be aware of to do this successfully?

Posts: 6037 Total Thanks: 147 For This Post: 0 Gender: Trade: Plumber	Re: Plastic pipe for CH and H and C water Reply #3 - Dec 4^th, 2010, 4:02pm I'm not a lover of sticking pipes in walls, apart from the fact they weaken the structure, waste heat in the walls, they also have to be protected from corrosion, etc. So yes, boxing them in is 100% better.
