Cold water feed getting hot (Read 4130 times)

win41 GDPR opt-out	Cold water feed getting hot Dec 19^th, 2010, 11:59am Hi, I have noticed that my cold water feed pipe get hot, in fact hot right up to ceiling, is this normal? I have a conventional gravity feed system Thanks It is the main cold feed from the expansion tank and is connected into the central heating pump

If you mean the cold feed for the heating, it could be normal, but if you mean the cylinder cold feed, you have a back feed.

It should go. Boiler > vent pipe > cold feed > pump > by-pass > MV.
