Fans - weak plastic axles fails frequently
Jan 2nd, 2011, 8:48am

I have bought a series of bathroom and other fans from Newey+Eyre.  The motors still work fine but the poor quality fan blade fitting almost always fails after one year.
This seems either very cynical of manufaturers/N&E or just rubbish qualty.
Is there somewhere to get replacement 4" and 6" fan blades so i dont have to replace whole fan so often at c. £80?
Should I get another make than N&E?
cheers
R

If these fans are running for sustained periods then it would be best to spend some more on a decent make such as VentAxia, Xpelaire or possibly even Manrose.

Out of interest, what fans are you using?  £80 is alot to be spending on a budget un-branded fan!  They are usually less than a tenner!
