Cost of central heating, rough estimate
Feb 7th, 2011, 9:28pm

Going to look at a house (all electric) all the other house appear to have gas central heating so I am assuming the owners at the time chose all electric.
Would it be fair to assume the gas main is up to the house?
Would the house already have a gas meter (Ihave not viewed it yet)
Assuming both the above are true what would be the approx cost of a complete gas install for central heating (scotland).
3 x Beds, Lounge, 2 x toilets, Kitchen.
The house is around £20k less than comparible in the area, vacant so possible inheritance or maybe repossession.

assumptions you can make = zero Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

how do you know they have piped gas over bottled or tanked fuel

when you know the exact situation then guesses are worth while  Wink

listen to the Joiner bud he is spot on.
There is so much information required, and anyone who claimed to give an idea of cost on here would be puddled.
get a Gas Safe Engineer to meet you on site and go over the place and give you a quote. Smiley

Even if the gas was run to the house they would insist on a new supply. after 12months it should have been disconnect in the road.
