Ventilation requirments??

Gas engineer at my house today.(i was at work)
After 1 and a half hours announces that the 'ventilation was undersized
High level 140 cm squared required'
Once this work is completed re schedule..
DO NOT USE BOILER!!!
There is a vent there 200X125 by a make of 'stadium'
2 floor vents and double doors are 50mm up from carpet.

advice on the high level vent please.

Reply #4 - Apr 28^th, 2011, 1:16am Ventilation requirements have been upgraded CW, the engineer would be near enough not to argue with.. Then again if the flag is anything to go on they have different regs to us. Ask him what the requirements are and you can work it out, or buy a new boiler and save some money long term.

More a bit miffed at turning the boiler off and leaving a sticker with do not use . I did/do check to see if my boiler comes under the scrapage scheme but no,i.ll continue to have it regulary serviced. cheers

Couldn't he have just left the door off until someone put a vent in it?
