Baxi Combi Instant 105E PCB Problem
Aug 13th, 2011, 7:34am

Hi,

I have a Baxi Combi Instant 105E and the pressure dropped.  I openned the valves and re-pressurised to qbout 1.5, and then restarted the boiler.  All was well for around 5 mins.

Then the lights flickered on the front and something went pop in the middle of the PCB board.  I looked at the board and then changed the fuse.  When turning it back on the fuse went again and I could see something sparking in the centre of the board above the large capacitor, maybe an envlosed min relay.

Wanted some advice whether it's not worth me changing the PCB, or whether its likely something external to the PCB is causing the PCB to fail ?

Many thx

Adrian

Time for an RGI to have a look.

Sounds like you may have got water where it shouldn't be.

but you could have a second problem, why it lost the pressure.
