Washing M/c waste pipe siezes
Sep 9th, 2011, 4:10pm

Hi all, I need to plumb in a washing machine, and am not sure how to proceed as outside the waste (from a toilet hand basin) is in 32mm and cemented into the drain.  My question is can I use the standard 40mm waste pipe and use a reducer into the 32 pipe, or would this cause some kind of restriction.  It would be around 1.5mts in length.
Hope some can help, cheers TrevorP

You should be fine, just keep the branch as low as possible.

You may need an AAAV to prevent the basin waste pulling but try it first.
