Danfoss FP715 Si question
Nov 27th, 2011, 8:49pm

This programmer has DIL switches to set it up for things like 7 day or 5/2 day operation. One of these switches is marked Pumped and Gravity.

I know what pumped and gravity mean but what difference does it make to the timer? Does it advance the timing if set to gravity on the basis that gravity systems take longer to warm up? That's the only thing I can think of. If so then by how much?

This is just for my education, nothing wrong with the system.

Stops the connections for the pump being live?

Or to let the pump carry on running when the boiler isn't firing?

pumped can have hot water or heating only.

gravity can only have hot water only or heating with hot water.

I don't think that can be it because there are only two output relays, one for DHW, one for CH.  No seperate output for the pump.

Yep, if ever you turn the heating on, the hot water latches on too.  It usually also then only follows a single time pattern, not two.
