Shower swap

My hudson reid shower has never been that good and now has two leaks, im looking at getting one of these:

It shows that where the pipes enter are 150mm centres as is mine at present. It doesnt show what side is hot and i dont know which is which on mine either Huh

could this be a problem?

Also it shows a easy fit bracket is this necessary or just a aid for first fixing?

Im hoping it will be a fairly straight foward swap.

not that i will be doing it myself but re tiling isnt much fun.

Any help much appreciated.

Mira are better than Aqualisa.

I don't think I know anything about Mira or Aqualisa, so I can't comment on the quality of those. I do know that our Hudson has kept us clean though! Good luck with the leaks.
