Hi,
Does anyone know If you can add a ringing device off a 2 wire POT on a Versatility Phone system.
Customer has 2 x noisy workshops and can not hear phones ring on Internal calls.
A central bell exists for external Incoming calls.

Thanks

Yes.

You can wire a bell or sounder to any extension, POTS or Featurephone.

You need to make sure the socket fitted is a PABX master, and then connect the bell/sounder between 3 and 5.  There is no stats for the line current available, but I have successfully connected two bells with no issues.

If you found you had issues, or needed more bells, you could connect a "REN booster" which takes minimal current from the line (in this case, extension), and allows you to connect several devices.  A REN booster requires a 230v supply.
