leaking roof
Feb 10th, 2014, 3:00pm

Hello guys. Could anyone help on this subject?
There is 2 storey extention's roof. Water ingress seems coming into the house through ripped felt and originally through ridge tile and top course tiles. Shall I leave the felt as it is and start fixing it only after succefull curing water ingress into the roof?

Hi, The felt is only a secondary protection so if you sort the problem with the tiles it should be water proof

On the other hand if the roof is in a bad way, you are probably best advised to strip it and replace the felt and battens
