Do they have a trap then?  I didn't think they did?  Thought they had to go on top of a p-trap of similar?

Humm. The Marley or Osma web sites are clear. If it needs to be a trap best check.

The pipe back to the applaince should be trapped as per normal to prevent smells.

The gully should also be trapped at the outlet for the same reason

It's not connecting to a sewer, it's a separate system.

Current down pipe goes directly into a 4" pipe concreted in path, no access.

Want to replace with a trap with back inlet to take run off from a drive type channel drain.
