mains stopcock

I need to change the washer in the incoming mains stopcock in the kitchen (not shutting off properly). Domestic hot water is supplied by a Worcester 12/14 Combi -- sealed system. After turning off the supply in the road and draining the pipework in the house do I also have to drain down the boiler ?
