My hanging basket keeps falling off ...
Sep 15th, 2015, 12:01pm

It's big, heavy thing, mounted on the corner of the house.  It swings in the wind and this seems to be pulling the fixings out.  The last fixings we used were brown plugs with 1.5 inch screws.  Is there a good strong plug that you'd recommend, before I start going down the route of anchor bolts, which seems a bit like taking a sledge hammer to crack a nut!

Thanks

You would be better off with 2 inch screws but otherwise just make sure the hole and the screw are the right size for the plug.

Brown plug, 7mm hole, no 10 screws, 2" long.

Obviously the wall needs to be sound.  What type of wall is it?  Brick, block, cob, stone?
