short of tucking a strip of felt into the lap and secureing to either side of the rafters then the answer is no, besides a felt covering is nothing more than an emergency secondary barrier and many a roof has none.If you have water leaking then your concern should be with your roof covering and not the felt beneath it! The felt should be of little concern, though having the roof overhauled would give you peace of mind and is money well spent. Funny this one.... I think it has come up half a dozen times in the last few months on one forum or another.
