bathroom units (Read 2122 times)

WJOHNM GDPR opt-out	bathroom units Feb 23^rd, 2005, 5:37pm any tips on fitting bathroom units? what type of waste to use, can the waste/pipework be concealed behind back of unit? do you fit units and worktop then cut for sink? any help would be great. i have a 300 unit/600 inset sink/300unit cheers john

They usually have a very high plinth/skirting so all the pipes can run behind that. Also usually enough room for 15mm feeds behind backs but not always deep enough for waste pipe

Fit units, scribe/joint WT, offer up basin & mark, cut out as required, fix top. Most semi countertop basins come with a template so you should be OK.

there is 80mm space behind units,
i got my units from wickes Embarrassed

the reason for this is the plinths were only 4inches.
everywhere else were 10 inches.
i saw that as a waste of 6 inches of usable space.
all pipes are going directly below,
from the top of worktop to back of unit is 280mm.the sink sits 200mm below.
so i am looking for a waste that will take me back to the wall within 80mm,
if this makes any sense

A "P" trap will be slimmerand you can have the "U" part parallel to the wall before turning back if that makes sence. Jason
