Honeywell Three Port Valve

Evening all,
Tonight the cylinder thermostat cover fell off, shorted against its body and blew an 18amp mcb. Reset the fuse and now the 3 way valve clicks constantly, if the slider is held over to the right (away from the auto) the clicking stops, this only happens on the ch side of the controller, if i select hw no clicking ??
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
