Isolating an MV

What type of isolating valves do people use to isolate a motorised valves? Do you use gate valves or just a simple isolating valve?

MVs dont usualy have valves do they? ive never seen one have one, ive always thaught what a pain it is to have to drain down each time you need to change one  Grin
