Shower - Electric RESOLVED Thanks
Sep 12th, 2005, 9:23am

Hi  Visiting partner's Ma in Glasgow she asked me to look at her shower (stop right there guys:-))

I have attached a picture - the problem is that an 'O' ring has split and worked its way out from behind the top control.

Question is can these be easily replaced if so how and and by whom?  Sparks or Plumber?

Thanks I need the brownie points Grin

Sorry to return to this but Shower Doc were unable to help and the company they referred me onto won't/can't.

New questions is should the control knob pull off and if so how can I make sure that it does not break?

Many thanks

take off the case, the control knobs are often integrated into the cover. There will be a way of "pulling" it off once the cover is removed.  Check your local plumbing supplies place for an O ring to fit.

btk [/quote]BTK you are the Dogs Whatsits.  Did as suggested then called in to an old fashioned style Ironmongers come Hardware shop [Carwrights on the outskirts of Falkirk] - you know loads of stock and knowledgeable staff.  I asked for a packet of mixed sizes but the guy said "oh we sell them individually so that you get the size you need" - I nearly fainted clean away Grin  Had to buy a few different sizes though as I had left the sample behind Roll Eyes
