Shower Wall Outlet
Sep 15th, 2005, 10:16pm

Hi, got a wall outlet for my Shower from Screwfix.

http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=58943&ts=18786

How does this stay solid when fitted.  What is it that stops it moving/twisting/pulling away from the wall?

Also outlet hole seems very small diameter.  Seems daft to have 22mm pie to valve, then to go through this small hole.  Will I get decent pressure and flow with this?.

Thanks

Simon

Fixing these is often a problem. The solution depends on what type of wall construction you have.

For example if wall is solid, you need to fix an elbow (15mm x 1/2" female) in position and use 1/2" nipple to connect to female (?) socket at rear.

The restriction of flow will not be significant compared to the shower hose and head.
