Bleeding pump
Nov 8th, 2005, 11:32am

Hi,

I have just refilled my open vented system after adding a couple of new rads, the rads have bleed fine and then I came to bleed the pump and found that it is an old "SMC Cadet 'S'" which does not appear to have a bleed valve.

Can you tell me how to vent\bleed a pump which does hot have a bleed valve?

Thank you

Mark.

Usually the pump will be self venting due to its position and orientation in the pipework, you only need to bleed air out of the rads.
