roofing in the winter?
Nov 10th, 2005, 10:06pm

am looking to get a strip and re-slate done to a victorian property.

There is no actual urgency for the work.

am i best to wait for after the winter or is it ok for this work to be done during the winter months by a competenet roofer?

Of course my main concern is potential water ingress/ damage to ceilings and decor.

any comments appreciated.

It depends if you have a good roofer?

he should have tarpaulins to cover up in case of rain.

Trouble is we never get a "dry season" in this country Sad

Last year I had big roofing job, waited all summer for a weather window, finally the weathermen said a fine spell was upon us, it was August by now, I started and I had one fine day then it rained solid for three weeks Angry. The job got done OK it just took me a lot longer.
