New Forum Idea....
Dec 29th, 2005, 4:50pm

Guys and Gals (You know who you are!!  Roll Eyes ) we all use tools, vehicles, services etc etc etc etc...

Some are good, some are bad, some are bloody excellent...

Why not have a forum in the trade section that can be used by members to write a review of tools, materials, services, etc etc...

We all invest a lot of money in our various jobs in the guise of tools, vehicles and services, so it seems logical that we should all do our level best to help each other invest that money as wisely as possible...afterall we are only doing our jobs for the money..and that is getting tighter and tighter each year..

There are some tools that seem specific to a certain trade..but can traverse trades with a little thought to make our lives easier..plus some services etc can be used by all..

What are your thoughts on this Admins and Mods?

I think that would be a great idea Jim! A sort of ATT-Which?

I was thinking of getting one of the new Ford Connect Tranny recently (van of the year 2004) until a sparky pal told me he had had LOADS of problems with his...my hairdressers van (100K+ miles) just goes on and on no problems (sadly - I think coz it looks like crap)

Yup let's got for it Admin.....anything rather than reading Jims crap postings  Grin

Right..where's my Wabbit gun...I'm going a hunting...

OOOEEEEE Mr Wabbit..where are you...come out to play... Grin Grin

Tranny Connects have been slatted by the actual users, they leak water when they have a roof rack fitted, they break down on a regular basis with minor mechanical issues. I have heard of one that has gone through 4 gearboxes in 10K miles!!!

That's why I love my VW... Grin

That is exactly what I had heard about the Connect Jim - and whilst I think the VW Transporter is a superb vehicle to drive (having hired one a while back) I have heard they are very easy to break into. Maybe a second hand Centurion is the way to go!

Nope I refuse to go out to play when folks are out and about hunting  Tongue
