plastering trowel grip
Jun 17th, 2006, 10:33am

hi

i suppose different people grip the implement in different ways.  but, should i be gripping with the handle of the trowel in line with my forearm(ie so that ther is a little vee of handle showing where the web of your hand is, this is how i grip a hammer)  or do you grip it like you would a motobike/push bike handle bar(ie so that the handle of the trowel is at right angles to the forearm and the web of the hand completely obscures the handle )

??

could post some pics of what i mean later?

cheers

kevin

knowing a few spreads over my time in the building industry, GSM, it really is how you the individual feels comfortable with the trowel/float etc.. each make type is different and each persons and is diferent,
when i use my Marshal town trowel, i hold it completely differently to my wooden handld trowel!

so basically it is each to their own,ou will probably get a "feel" for each that you own and use!!
