but has any one got a more accurate speed profile
i prefer large 3" cutters whizzing round as slow as possible
Use them on 1 then

(sorry

)
I saw this on an American site where the speed controller was blowing if the router is used at its slowest setting with big cutters, may be something to be wary of
http://www.routerforums.com/general-routing/312-blowing-hitachi-mv12-speed-contr...On the same forum someone has asked the same question about speeds but so far no reply
http://www.routerforums.com/general-routing/3366-setting-proper-rpm-hitachi-m12v...I would expect it's a linear scale, if you know the top and bottom speeds you can work out the intermediates
1= 8,000
2= 10,000
3= 13,000
4= 16,000
5= 19,000
6= 22,000
All approximate, rounded up or down to suit.
According to the review for this router you may find it useful to get a RAZRUK plate, as the recess in the base plate is too deep to take Trend bushes.
