Replacement kitchen doors and drawers
Aug 27th, 2007, 9:57am

Hi all

Got a renta property with a tired old mdf kitchen. Its about 15 yrd old with old style draw fittings. Im odering made to measure replacement doors and draw fronts and having a joiner/ kitchen fitter to install them. How hard a job is this for a competant chippie?? There are 7 doors to replace and 5 draw fronts. The doors and draws come with no hinge/pilot  holes. I was thinking 1 days labour tops

What do you all think.

PS there is no other work required ie changing worksurfaces etc

has he been round to look at the job!!!!!

if the units are shot or not square it may be impossible to get the doors and drawers to sit properly and line up with even gaps ect

My experience of old kitchen units is that it's the carcass that's usually knackered from the point of view of hinge pockets.

Could be one day's work, could be two.
