Electrician fitted wall sockets to wall and they are fitted ok if I was painting the wall, as I am going to tile it the `faceplate` needs to come out a bit. How do I do this?
Use longer screws?
thanks

Wrap a carrier bag, or clingfilm (you can still use it then) around it, tile adhesive & grout can be horrible to get off sometimes (last time I grouted black my lovely 3 year old told everyone at nursery that her daddy painted his nails!).

Juco,
When you are looking for ‘socket’ screws,
They are also called 3.5mm screws, from electrical wholesalers
When you install the new ones make sure they are not so long that they trap the wires when you screw them back
