totally TRUE, there are chems in the treatment that attack the PVA redering it useless in the long term, it might seem okay once first bonded , but breaks down after a few weeks!!

also B & Q's pva is extremely cheap version! of pva!

barge and pole spring to mind on "sheds" O.B adhesives!!

YES! as contains other chems that do the same thing, and will start to break down adhesives!!
