Boiler/shower
Oct 13th, 2008, 2:11pm

Having been quoted a price to have a new combi boiler installed in the loft, removal of old boiler from the ground floor kitchen, and removal of first floor immersion tank, our plumber has started work today and now tells us we cannot use our power shower with the new boiler, but must have a new shower. Can someone please confirm if this is possible or are we getting ripped off? I am pretty upset that he failed to spot that we had a power shower before starting work.

Not enough information.

If it has a pump init then no it cannot be used.

I hope the mains pressure is high for a combi.

And i Hope it is a hooooooooooooooooooooooooooge combi! Grin
also if the shower as scruff says has an integral pump similar to a Mira event then its no use for a combi system

Plumber should have really advised prior to quoting surveying job

What were your reasons for changing to combi?
