Unexpected shower/basin tap inlets
Oct 14th, 2008, 6:09pm

Hi, I'm fitting a new shower and basin and just got the stuff delivered today.

Instead of the standard compression joints for copper/plastic tube I've used before, the shower mixer has two threaded female 22mm inlets for the hot and cold supply with embedded rubber washers (like the end of a shower hose).

It also comes with a sort of threaded reducer ()22mm to 15mm) straight connector but I don't really have room to fit that behind the mixer (the back of the stud wall for the adjoining room is too close).

The (monobloc) basin tap has two screw in flexi tubes but they have similar threaded female ends (15mm this time).

Are there compression or solder fittings that I can put onto 15mm copper tube to fit the two shower inlets and the tap flexis?  Huh

The shower Needs a pic to explain better.
