However, since they are so poorly drafted and often indistinct, most sparks could be excused for interpreting them.
Have you ever actually read the regs properly though?
Start at the
first regulation in a section, or a regulation group and it invariably gives you the basic requirement in plain English. Subsequent regs then expand on that, or cover specific circumstances, which may or may not apply.
Too often sparks start at some random place and get confused; you should do it like this:
Consider the nature of your query.
On page 3, identify the relevant chapter and go to the title page of that chapter.
Identify the relevant section or regulation group. (sections have three digits) and find it in the chapter.
Go to that section and read the scope/introduction/general requirements headings to see if it does apply.
If so, read the section from the beginning.
If not, redefine your search using the
correct terminology.
Do this and you will discover one of two things...
That the regs are, in fact, logical and clear... or....
...that it's time to on a course!
