it is titled 'online turn off'

the main hilighted subject is "offering any advice to DIY-heroes except, 'Stop what you are doing immediately and consult a professional' is unfathomable"

Load of crap, doesnt apply to this forum at all, may do to others such as Screwfix i feel.

I read that as well and as a pretty well experienced and competent sort of bod (but still willing to listen to you guys) was prompted to write to him and tell him where to stick his editorial.   But then I remembered that the periodical is so full of advertorial crap.

Screwfix is a great forum for know-it-alls who tell you how it is (according to them) and are about as helpful as a 16 year old working in B&Q. Lots of the trades on here used to be on the SF forum, we moved over here because we were tired of the politics and ignorant people who thought they were the dogs what's its.

As far as I know B&Q and Screwfix are owned by the same people, so in a round-about way B&Q does have a forum  Grin

And that was over 4-years ago now  Cool

As for PE, I've never been that impressed so don't read it, and anything that claims to be for "professionals" is usually for amateurs and DIY'rs anyway.
